Cookies Notice

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device to remember information between requests — a session token, a language preference, an analytics identifier. Cookies fall under UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) and UK GDPR, and strictly non-essential cookies require your consent.

Cookies we use

This site aims to run with the minimum viable cookie footprint. In its default state, MD Info does not place tracking, advertising, personalisation, retargeting or cross-site cookies. Any essential cookie set will be described here.

Cookie categories

Strictly necessary: the cookie that remembers you have dismissed the cookie banner, if a banner is displayed. This cookie stores a single value ("dismissed=1") and expires after 12 months. It does not identify you and cannot be used to profile you.

Analytics: where analytics measurement is used, it is configured in a privacy-preserving way — IP truncation, no cross-site identifiers, no reader profiling. If analytics are activated, this notice will be updated to name the tool and describe the cookie names and lifetimes.

Advertising: none. This site does not carry advertising or affiliate ad-network scripts.

Third-party embeds: the site is served as static HTML and does not embed third-party iframes, video players, chat widgets, share buttons or social-media widgets. There are no third-party cookies as a result.

Managing cookies

You can view and manage cookies in your browser settings. All major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) let you clear existing cookies and block future ones on a per-site basis. Blocking essential cookies may cause the cookie banner to reappear on each visit.

Changes to this notice

If we materially change our cookie behaviour, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date at the top of the page revised. Non-material clarifications may be made without notification.
